Bold colors and dramatic artwork can spice up a home no matter the season. Design by Molly Luetkemeyer.

Embrace fall weather changes by making a few changes around your Tudor Heights apartment. You don’t have to change a lot to make a statement. Decorating your apartment with a few eye-catching pieces should to the trick. Go big, bold, and bright!

There is no need to buy new furniture or go on a painting frenzy to give your home a mini makeover. Consider revamping these items:

Curtains: Floor-to-ceiling curtains or drapes instantly draw attention because of their size. Selecting a bold, fun, solid color is easier to coordinate with an existing design. Getting curtains in a funky pattern will add pizazz to a room that’s otherwise a blank slate.

Pillows: Draw color to multiple parts of your room with decorative accent pillows. They are also a great way to integrate different textures. If you have kids, be sure to get an easy-to-clean fabric!

Artwork: No, you don’t need to buy an original Andy Warhol to make a statement, nor do you need to buy multiple pieces of art. One, large art piece or wall graphic works wonderfully. The bigger the piece, the bigger the statement (and the fewer pieces you’ll need elsewhere in the room).
